Doğan Holding and Its Group Companies Attended CIFIT, the Most Important Investment and Trade Fair Of China

Doğan Holding, along with a group of media, industry and associated business people, is representing the Turkish private business sector at the Chinese International Investment and Trade Fair (CIFIT) in Xiamen, China being held September 8 - 11.

The Chinese Ministry of Trade, along with the World Trade Organization,(WTO), the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), is sponsoring CIFIT, which is in its 11th year. China's investment policies, investment projects and corporate products are to be introduced to domestic and foreign business representatives who will be given the chance to learn about specific investment opportunities.

This year, Turkey has been chosen as a "focus country" for the fair. While world-wide investors will be looking for investment opportunities in both Turkey and its companies, a committee of Foreign Trade representatives under Minister of State Kürşat Tüzmen will be forming a platform at the fair to put Turkish companies in contact with businessmen and companies which are interested in investment and co-operation opportunities.

In a speech at the Turkish-Chinese Investment and Trade Cooperation Seminar, retired ambassador Volkan Vural, Counselor to Chairman of Doğan Holding, pointed out that CIFIT and similar trade fairs play a strategic role in promoting cooperation and creating synergy between the two countries.

As a focus country at the 11th CIFIT Fair, Turkey has been given a unique opportunity to present its investment potential said Vural, and added that Doğan Group expects to draw not only Chinese companies but also companies from other countries to benefit from the cooperation opportunities.
