Doğan Holding, along with a group of media, industry and associated business people, is representing the Turkish private business sector at the Chinese International Investment and Trade Fair (CIFIT) in Xiamen, China being held September 8 - 11 .
The Chinese Ministry of Trade, along with the World Trade Organization,(WTO), the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), is sponsoring CIFIT, which is in its 11th year. China's investment policies, investment projects and corporate products are to be introduced to domestic and foreign business representatives, who will be given the chance to learn about specific investment opportunities
This year, Turkey has been chosen as a "target country" for the fair. While world-wide investors will be looking for investment opportunities in both Turkey and its companies, a committee of Foreign Trade representatives under Government Minister Kürşat Tüzmen, will be at the fair forming a platform to put Turkish companies in contact with businessmen and companies which are interested in investment and co-operation opportunities.
In a speech at the Turkish-Chinese Investment and Cooperative Seminar, Doğan Holding's Chief Management Consultant, retired ambassador Volkan Vural, pointed out that CIFIT and similar trade fairs play a strategic role in promoting cooperation and creating synergy between the two countries.
As a target country at the 11th. CIFIT Fair, Turkey has been given a unique opportunity to present its investment potential, said Vural, and added that Doğan Holding group of companies expects not only companies in the Chinese private sector, but participants in all fields of business endeavor, to benefit from the knowledge gained and opportunities encountered at the fair.
