No to Domestic Violence! Conference 2010

The fourth of the No to Domestic Violence! Campaign conferences took place in Istanbul on March 8 in honor of International Women’s Day.
These past there years, the focus has been on the high frequency of domestic violence and inadequate efforts to fight it. But this year, rather than to underline what is lacking, Hürriyet decided to stress the genuine efforts of the people and institutions who have created change in some people’s lives. Therefore, the theme of the conference was chosen as “How can we progress?”.
Attended by some of those people and institutions, the participants had a very productive conference on how to progress in the fight against domestic violence.
