New Energy Initiatives by Doğan Group

Doğan Enerji Yatırımları Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (Doğan Enerji), a fully owned subsidiary of Doğan Şirketler Grubu Holding A.Ş. (Doğan Holding) concluded the partnership agreements to participate in oil and gas exploration and development activities in Iraqi Kurdistan to be carried out through joint international project companies in the Region. The activities will include a 40pct working interest in the DNO operated Erbil production sharing contract and an 80pct working interest in the newly formed Khalakan production sharing contract comprising previously known Blocks of K28 and K29.

Doğan Enerji is a specialized subsidiary of Dogan Holding Group in the energy sector with interests also in power generation and distribution areas. A statement by Dogan Group indicated that the Group views this initiative as an important and timely step within its strategy to expand its activities in regional and international markets. Regarding the projects in the field of energy, specifically in oil and gas related projects, the Group appreciates the significant hydrocarbon potential in the Region as has been proven by the recent discoveries. Dogan Group also stated that projects in this field will contribute to the future development, stability and prosperity of the Region and to the benefit of all Iraqi people. It was further said that oil production in these projects in the Region shall enhance the position of Kirkuk-Ceyhan Pipeline in international markets and contribute positively to the energy security of Turkey.
