Çağlar Göğüş, CEO of Doğan Holding, aired views on the pandemic and the industry on Bloomberg HT television program
Çağlar Göğüş, CEO of Doğan Holding, made a guest appearance on Bloomberg HT’s “Piyasa Hattı” (Market Line) program. Göğüş explained Doğan Holding’s response actions to the coronavirus pandemic, the measures they have taken and shared his views on the industries the group companies operate in. While pointing out that Covid-19 would change business manners among many industries, Göğüş emphasized how their longterm business partnerships built on trust has given them the biggest advantage during the coronavirus pandemic.
In the words of Göğüş, Doğuş Holding, like many other companies, first predominantly transitioned to working from home except in manufacturing and operation segments, laying priority on health. He added that they have experienced no loss in efficiency, which the company is satisfied with, and the holding’s wide-ranging portfolio has proved to be an opportunity as companies significantly focus on cash flow and expense management during the pandemic.
According to the assumption of the holding, efficiency will be in the foreground of this period both in the way business is done and in terms of expenses. In Göğüş’s opinion, the impact of Covid-19 has revealed that many types of work can be done at home, which calls for a revision of certain ways of doing business.
