Doğan Holding Group improved its operating profit by 35% in the first half of 2010

Doğan Şirketler Grubu Holding A.Ş. announced consolidated financials for the period January 1 – June 30 2010. Doğan Holding consolidated revenues of TRY 5.51Billion  increased by 17% YOY  while Earnings Before Tax and Depreciation ( EBITDA) improved by 35% and reached to TRY 305 Million in the first half of 2010.

Doğan Holding focus in 2010 is on raising productivity, maintaining market share, as well as on improving operating profit margins in its priority businesses and Dogan Group accomplished targets for the first half of the year.  Accordingly consolidated gross profit, EBITDA and EBIT displayed year-on-year growth for the period by 25%, 35% and 218% respectively. The statement by Doğan Holding drew attention to favorable impacts of the productivity projects and focusing on the effective cost management held since 2009 which resulted with the improvement of the operational profit.  It is also emphasized that Group is expecting further positive reflections of the restructuring and operational efficiency implementations process in the second half of 2010.
