Doğan Holding has appointed the well-experienced banker Hulusi Horozoğlu as CEO of D Yatırım Bankası A.Ş., which has obtained its banking license and is set to go into operation in the first quarter of 2021.

D Yatırım Bankası will capitalize on the Group's know-how in e-commerce and banking to deliver top-notch investment banking services and financing through a structure steeped in digital technologies, and also conduct major fintech projects regarding SMEs. The bank's recently appointed CEO Horozoğlu has many years of banking experience under his belt in both international and domestic markets.

About Hulusi Horozoğlu

After graduating from Boğaziçi University, Department of Economics in 2000, Hulusi Horozoğlu embarked upon his career in the same year at Citibank’s Management Associate Program. He went on to serve there as Relationship Manager - Financial Institutions between 2001 and 2004, and subsequently joined HSBC in 2004 He took office at HSBC Turkey as Relationship Manager - Corporate Banking, before moving on to his role as Senior Banker - Financial Institutions and Public Sector at Citibank Turkey in 2005 From 2006 to 2012, he served Citigroup Dubai as Director of Global Islamic Banking, Syndications and International Capital Markets as well as Head of Non Presence Countries - Saudi Arabia and Oman. Having rejoined HSBC Turkey in 2012, Horozoğlu worked there as Head of Global Capital Financing and Debt Finance until 2014 Between 2014 and 2016, he held office as Assistant General Manager, Managing Director, Head of Corporate and Investment Banking. From 2016 to 2018, on top of his roles as Assistant General Manager, Managing Director, Head of Wholesale Banking and Investment Banking, Horozoğlu also served as Regional Head of Client Coverage - Corporate and Commercial Banking, Middle East, North Africa and Turkey in 2017-2018. After 2018, Horozoğlu worked at HSBC Dubai as Regional Head of Business Development - Middle East, North Africa and Turkey, before being appointed as CEO of D Yatırım Bankası A.Ş. in September 2020 Horozoğlu is married and has a child.
