Erem Turgut Yücel was born in İstanbul in 1962. He was graduated from İstanbul University Law Faculty in 1984. From 1986 to 1989, he worked for the Law Department at Hürriyet Gazetecilik ve Matbaacılık A.Ş. After working for 3 years for Türkiye Emlak Bankası as a lawyer and manager, he started to work for Hürriyet again in 1993. He was appointed as Legal Manager in 1996 and then Legal Affairs Coordinator at Doğan Yayın Holding A.Ş. in 2003. He served at the Board of Directors of Istanbul Bar Association between 2002-2004. He has been working as Chief Legal Counsel at Doğan Şirketler Grubu Holding A.Ş. since 2010.
